Barrel Kits

Lorentz Industries Barrel Kits offer an easy affordable solution to replacing existing worn-out barrels. These kits are also a good starting point for the D.I.Y. building their own Trommel.

The modular bolt together design allows for the barrel to be customized for scrubber, screen length, and alignment of the barrel sprocket and roller rings with existing drive systems and rollers.

For the barrel sprocket we have two options, the Tsubaki brand sprocket with hardened teeth that bolts to the scrubber end plate, which can be split into two pieces. The second option is a two piece sprocket that bolts  anywhere on the scrubber section of the barrel to align with the existing drive system.

The barrels come complete with liner kits. UHMW is the best option for long life, it has ten times the abrasion resistance of steel. Liner panels are bolt in for easy replacement.

The screen section has tapered holes to prevent screen blockage.
We also offer AR400 steel liner panels for the scrubber section.

These kits are easy to assemble with basic tools, and ship on pallets.

Our standard models are the 36 and 48. These are designed to replace pipe size 36″ and 48″ Other sizes are available on request.

The Lorentz Trommels are designed to provide durability with low maintenance and easy mobility.

Gold Trommel

The Lorentz Trommels are designed to provide durability with low maintenance and easy mobility on the mine site.

All models use the lined barrel kits which have long wear life and offer versatility with our bolt in mud-clay buster plates.

When it comes to capturing gold correct set up is crucial. The more adjustable the wash plant is, the better it will perform with different materials. We use vibrating feed hoppers with multiple wash bars, and OLI brand vibrating motors with speed control. These hoppers are good for washing oversized rocks. The hopper angle is adjustable to control the feed rate and wash time. All wash bars have vales to adjust the water flow.

The barrel angle is adjustable by way of the jacks. The sluice box adjusts to stay level when changing the barrel angle. The grizzly bars bolt in and have 5” classification with adjustable wash bars.

Available sizes are 36” and 48” barrels with 48” or 96” long scrubber section, and 60” screen section.
